Gugut Library is a home-grown reading program created by Savannah Printing Press, the Ethiopian publisher behind Felek notebooks.

Through the Felek exercise-book donation program, we saw that while school enrollment in Ethiopia kept rising, learning materials were not keeping up. Children were arriving at school in greater numbers — but too many of them had nothing to read. Gugut Library grew directly from that gap.

We align with the Ethiopian government's growing priority on early-grade reading, and we extend our Montessori work into a library children can actually take home — in Amharic, Tigrinya, Oromiffa, Somali, Wolaytta, and English.
